Alright lets say your a chip leader at the table and your in the top 20 of chips with about 350 ppl left. You limp in with hmm K3 and the flop comes
5cKcKd you have 2 clubs on the board. Sence you have a butt load of chips, and are in first positon, do you check it or raise it up?
in a situation like this i usally raise it up. Sence i have a lot of chips in a tourney I always think people may think i am bluffing. Anyway what would you do when you flop trips with a flush draw on the board. But people always fold to my raises. |

In a MTT, with a big chip leader you should tighten up your play.
In that situation, DONT play K 3 at all, let alone in first position. |

Right, you shouldnt play K3 but if you happen to do so and get that flop then yes you bet. You force whoever is on the flush draw to pay for it. I forget the odds but its about a 50/50 that they will hit their flush if they hold suited cards and 2 more of the same suit flop. Its even less of a percentage that someone actually has those 2 suited cards that actually flop however so odds are in your favor.
Anyone know the exact odds i forget them? |

If I'm playing K-3... and flop comes K-K-5...
I'm honestly worried that I'm beat.... especially if at least two or three others saw a cheap flop...
Kings are a likely card to be in a played hand... and any king better than a K-3 has me beat...
I know there is only one other king in the deck... but If someone had it... it's likely sitting there waiting to beat me...a lot of players will limp in with K-9 or better... so if it's out there... you are screwed... |

It leaves you very open to the kicker with a hand such as that. I'd happily check or call a small raise, but anything big that smells like K,>3 and I would be out of there.
It's hard putting 3 Kings down, but you got to first place and blowing it playing silly hands like that isn't worth it. Keep your chip lead and play the premium hands. K10, different story, but K3 is a little too low for my liking. There is a king out there somewhere and it's likely to be in someones hand if you have many people staying in. |

Check all the way in that particular situation. I would be looking to expand upon my chip lead, though with something a little more solid.
As the guys said above, the low kicker is leaving you vulnerable to anyone that has a king in hand. |
